Founded in 1998 from its humble beginnings in a home, Cornerstone has grown in the heart of Chatsworth. Today Cornerstone is a fast-growing Church with a relevant Word for this generation. A vibrant exciting Word Centred Church with anointed Worship and Bible Teaching, which is located at the Odeon Theatre Complex, a 1200 seater House of Worship.

Cornerstone School of the Spirit offers you the highest standard of Practical Theological Training in the Scriptures. The School is designed to train and equip the layperson for the work of the Ministry inside the Local Church environment. The training program is Religious specific. This fulfills the instruction found in:
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." - 2 Timothy 2:15.
I started at the School of the Spirit in 2017 the first in take of students. WOW what an incredible journey.
Pastor Mervin unpacks the undiluted Word of God to Life. The teaching is something that I have never heard in all my Christian walk of life, the revelation and indepth of the Scriptures, the teaching contents grows on you and the desire to know more increases. There is an instant commitment to learn more about the word of God. It's unexplainable. There's a stirring up within. A desire to have an intimate relationship with God.
The teaching brings about a spirit of maturity, spiritual and mental growth. Since becoming a student of the School of the Spirit I have grown in leaps and bounds.
The key to success in this spiritual journey is diligently seeking God. Hebrew 11:6 God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

Cornerstone has an exciting Sunday School program for your Children during the Morning Services. The Children will be educated and write a midyear and Final Exam just to refresh the Teachings at the classes.
The Youth meet at Cornerstone every Friday evening. Responsible married couples are assigned to this department ensuring your Childs safety. Annual Youth Camps and team Building programs are constant throughout the year.
Cornerstone School of the Spirit has been welcomed into Westville Prison Services to provide Biblical training to inmates. This is our humble task, to take Gods Word and help bring transfomation, hope and the Love of God to these precious souls.
Witness incredible Miracles. Every January Cornerstone commences the New Year with a 21 Day Fast. The Fasting Movement has gained incredible Momentum in the KZN Community influencing Churches and our Community.
On National Women’s Day Cornerstone hosts the Gathering of the Esther Company. Ladies are treated to gift Bags and Meals and a whole lot more. There’s anointing Preaching and Worship.

The largest Marriage Renewal Movement in KZN. Hundreds of couples gather in an atmosphere of Worship and Holiness in the month of February every year to recommit and rededicate themselves in Holy Matrimony.
